Abstract
The metal movable type printing invented by German goldsmith John Gutenberg in the 15th century is one of the most important inventions in human history. It marks that human beings have mastered the technology of mass reproduction of text information
which has played a huge role in the development of German society
especially in the Religious Reformation in Germany in sixteenth century.
