Beijing Dance Academy has held many “Dancing Without Boundaries” international programs

among which the exchanges with American choreographers and dancers are most frequent. From those projects

we observe many differences between Chinese dancers and American dancers

including their technique

energy

specialties

and interpretation of dance works and so on. What causes this huge gap between Chinese dancers and American dancers? The author has done a lot of research during her visit to the United States

which will be elaborated from the aspects of educational goals

methods

strategies and regional culture.
