Abstract
By analyzing the disadvantages of the traditional model of professional development of English teachers in colleges and universities
this paper puts forward the reflective model based on the theory of reflection including the reflective education model and teaching model of college English teachers; it aims to mobilize the enthusiasm of college English teachers’ self-reflection in the course of professional development
to encourage teachers to actively reflect on their own learning practices and teaching practices
and to achieve better and faster development of professional comprehensive quality.
