In response to the current impact of Corona Virus Disease 2019
more and more regions need to establish medical centers to provide the highest quality and most efficient access to the environment and modalities for their residents
where the location of the geospatial location of medical centers is particularly critical. This study is dedicated to using a modified P-median model to address the problem of capacity limitation of medical centers and to optimize the model in terms of medical attractiveness and urban constraints so that it can be applied to regions with large population bases and uneven distribution of medical resources. This study uses Guangxi Province
China
as an example to verify the feasibility of the improved model. The results show that although the optimized model cannot satisfy the principle of proximity allocation of demand points
it greatly solves the capacity problem of facility points and also selects the most suitable medical center candidate points by combining various indicators.
