Abstract

The integration of advanced sensors

communication technologies

and data processing methods in IoT-based smart highway infrastructure allows for real-time monitoring of road conditions and vehicle dynamics. This integration involves embedding sensors and equipment within the road structure and establishing a centralized control system to analyze collected data comprehensively

aiming to optimize road conditions and improve traffic safety. However

this implementation presents challenges

including high costs

data protection risks

and the need for standardized technical specifications. Despite these challenges

smart highways can enhance traffic management efficiency

accelerate emergency response times

and contribute to environmental sustainability.
