Abstract

Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) are emerging digital technologies that are rapidly transforming the way new media is produced and experienced. This paper explores the current applications

technological advantages

and future trends of VR and AR in new media. The study reveals that VR

through immersive experiences

offers users unprecedented interactive possibilities

making content presentation more vivid and lifelike. On the other hand

AR enhances information visualization and interactivity by overlaying digital content onto the real world. These technologies are widely applied in fields such as journalism

entertainment

education

advertising

and social media

redefining content creation and distribution models while also driving the evolution of user experience and media consumption behavior. The paper also discusses the challenges associated with current applications

including technological limitations

content creation difficulties

and privacy concerns

and provides recommendations for future development. As hardware advancements and content creation ecosystems improve

VR and AR are expected to play increasingly significant roles in new media

driving ongoing innovation in media formats.
