Abstract

This study conducts a systematic comparative analysis of quantitative finance ecosystems across major global financial markets (U.S.

EU) and China. Findings reveal developed markets maintain structural advantages through integrated regulatory coordination (SEC-FED joint oversight)

deep talent reserves (8

000+ annual graduates)

and diversified strategy ecosystems (89% AI adoption). China exhibits rapid growth (CAGR 32%) but faces critical bottlenecks including regulatory fragmentation (62-day algorithm approvals)

data market failures (130% satellite data premium)

and talent retention crises (68% STEM PhD brain drain). Global trends are converging toward generative AI strategy synthesis

quantum-accelerated optimization

and ESG 2.0 integration. Crucially

our novel Quantitative Development Index (QDI=6.2 for China vs. 10.0 for U.S.) quantifies institutional adaptability gaps. Recommendations for China include establishing a National Financial Data Exchange and Regulatory Sandbox 2.0. This research provides policymakers with actionable frameworks for ecosystem development and global competitiveness enhancement.
