Due to the global pandemic
corporate organisations have recently had to deal with altered work conditions
changing how employees interact with their firms. Employees must adjust well to the changes as the demand for adaptable employees has increased. The current study examines the impact of employee motivation (EM) and structural empowerment (SE) on employee adaptive performance (AP) in this dynamic and quickly changing work environment. This study aims to examine the mediating effect of knowledge hoarding (KH) within the context of empowered and motivated employees in the emerging Turkish services sector. The SPSS 23 and ADANCO 2.2.1 software were used for SEM
regression
and correlation analysis. The findings of this study demonstrate how employee motivation and structural empowerment influence and enhance adaptive performance. However
employee motivation and structural empowerment tend to reduce knowledge hoarding. In contrast
knowledge hoarding mediates the association between the two exogenous variables of the study. The findings provide important insights and implications that indicate a workable framework to improve employees' performance in the Turkish services sector.
