摘要

Abstract

In the context of globalisation promoting cultural intermingling

the accurate translation of Culture-loaded words is particularly important. They carry the deep connotation of a particular culture. Although domestic and foreign scholars have made fruitful achievements in the translation and research of culturally loaded words

they still face the challenges of conveying deeper meanings and new word translation strategies. Based on the theory of manipulation

this paper makes use of the English translation of culturally loaded words in the film "Raise the Red Lantern" to analyse the examples. It explores the influence of patronage

poetics

and ideology on translation strategies

with a view to reducing cultural misunderstandings and providing a reference for the study of English translation strategies of culturally loaded words.
