Abstract

Many hospitals have used the Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture (HSOPSC) to evaluate their safety culture. However

few studies measured operation sections' safety culture compared with other sections in hospitals through HSOPSC. Thus we conducted a cross-sectional study in 2015 with HSOPSC to assess the patient safety culture in a tertiary hospital of Shenzhen China. After comparing the Percent Positive Ratings (PPRs) and outcome variables between these two sections with t tests and x

tests

a multiple regression and ordinal logistic regression was conducted to explore the influencing factors of outcome variables. Our research found the operation sections had 2 strength dimensions and 5 weaknesses dimensions. Dimensions "staffing" and "frequency of events reported" in operation sections was better than in other sections (28.80% vs 27.93%
