Considering motivation is a critical factor which closely connected with the learning results and efficiency. This study aims to investigate students’ motivation towards a German course based on the process-oriented period theory. Specifically

this study firstly give a brief introduction about the theories related to motivation. Then

an evaluation will be given combined the pedagogical context and the process-oriented period theory. Finally

some future thinking and suggestions will be given for future foreign language teaching
