According to the National English Curriculum Standard and English syllabus in the stage of basic education in China

more and more attention has been paid to cultural education in foreign language teaching. On the one hand

English teachers should not only cultivate students with foreign cultural knowledge through foreign language teaching

but also cultivate students’ intercultural communicative competence and guide students to improve intercultural communicative competence. On the other hand

language teaching is actually a kind of cultural teaching

and a language can carry multiple cultures

so teachers should carry out multicultural teaching according to their needs. In the process of teaching

teachers guide students to acquire cultural knowledge and cultivate students’ self-cognition by integrating four kinds of cultural knowledge. At the same time

teachers can finally promote students’ self-improvement and the development of personal competence by arousing students’ enthusiasm and sociality in English teaching.
