Since the RCEP agreement came into effect in 2020

while ignoring the importance of pre-investment dispute prevention measures. This paper will demonstrate the feasibility and important role of introducing preventive measures into the investment dispute settlement mechanism of the RCEP agreement. From the perspective of pre-prevention

it is proposed to further refine the "measures to promote investment facilitation" involved in Article 17 of the investment chapter of the RCEP agreement

and take investment preventive measures as a pre-emptive procedure for investment dispute settlement. By setting up an independent body or working group for the prevention of investment disputes; By making full use of the consultation mechanism

the parties can establish a communication mechanism for regular exchange of information. Through this mechanism

the legal interpretation and policy interpretation of investment transactions in the ASEAN Free Trade area and other measures are unified. This will improve the construction of the investment dispute resolution mechanism

and strive to prevent problems before they occur and reduce the occurrence of investment disputes.
