Historical districts are not only important carriers of urban culture but also key symbols of social memory and local identity. Designing the surrounding environment of historic districts in a reasonable manner to promote their sustainable protection and rational utilization is a crucial task in urban planning and heritage preservation. Based on this premise

this paper explores the principles

challenges

and corresponding strategies for the design of the surrounding environment in the protection of historical block architectural heritage. It aims to provide useful references for promoting the protection of historical and cultural heritage and achieving harmonious coexistence between culture and modern life.
