摘要

Abstract

This paper investigates the impact of mainstream religions on women's status

tracing the historical context and examining present-day conditions across major religions

including Christianity

Islam

Hinduism

Buddhism

and Judaism. It aims to understand how religious doctrines

practices

and cultural interpretations have influenced women's roles

rights

and societal positions over time. The study employs a qualitative research design

utilizing historical analysis and interviews with women from various religious backgrounds to gather comprehensive data. The findings reveal a complex interplay of progress and challenges

highlighting areas where religious teachings have both empowered and constrained women's rights. By offering a critical analysis of the dual role of religions in shaping gender dynamics

this study provides recommendations for fostering gender equality within religious frameworks and calls for continued engagement and reform to ensure women's empowerment in all aspects of life.
