摘要

Abstract

Jan Assmann's theory of cultural memory emphasizes the intergenerational transmission of cultural memory through material carriers (texts

spaces

symbols)

forming the core framework of group identity. Through urban space

daily objects and linguistic symbols

My City constructs a unique narrative

which constitutes an important text for exploring China

Hong Kong's culture and identity. Starting from Jan Assmann's theory of cultural memory

this paper explores how My City constructs identity through material carriers

helping the public to understand China

Hong Kong's Identity Construction in the context of globalization.
