摘要

Abstract

In this paper

whether all listed companies are included in the short sellable list during the 12-year period from 2010

when the short selling mechanism was introduced in China

to 2022 is taken as the independent variable

the readability of corporate financial statements is taken as the dependent variable

and the size of the enterprise

etc. is taken as the control variable. Using the method of least squares regression

Stata is used to study whether the short selling mechanism can effectively improve the readability of corporate financial statements and further study the mechanism of its impact. After the study

it is found that whether it is on the short-selling list has a greater impact on the readability of the financial statements of the enterprise

i.e.

the introduction of the short-selling mechanism can effectively enhance the readability of the financial statements of the enterprise and improve the quality of the enterprise's information disclosure.
