Mansfield possesses a short but rich life with many masterpieces.
The Fly
as one of her representatives
applies symbolism with a beautiful writing-style
rich connotation and poetic creation. The novel presents the characters with different thematic meanings highlighting the cruel reality of the society by war
the distinction between good and evil in human nature
and the value of human life. Additionally
it reveals the author's hatred and criticism towards the war
and tells the world to have good nature ceaselessly
undertake good deeds continuously
and strive to live.
