摘要

Abstract

In the context of depressed global FDI flows

this study uses a panel of about 100 economies from 2003 to 2020 and applies country-year two-way fixed effects and system GMM methods to examine the relationship between the United Nations E-Government Development Index (EGDI) and FDI inflows as a share of GDP. We propose hypotheses based on three potential mechanisms—improvement of administrative efficiency

enhancement of transparency

and better information accessibility—and construct an empirical model using public data from sources such as the World Development Indicators (WDI)

World Governance Indicators (WGI)

and UN EGDI. The aim is to evaluate whether digital government development improves a host country's ability to attract foreign investment

thereby providing empirical evidence for optimizing the digital business environment.
