Abstract

Recently

a wave of sports craze has been created on short video platforms by bloggers led by Genghong Liu. As one of the components of culture

movement culture likewise reflects the differences between different cultures. Based on the three dimensions of Hofstede's cultural dimensions

video samples are selected from DouYin and Tiktok respectively to analyze the differences in sports culture presented on Chinese and German short video platforms

which has implications for enriching the study of cultural differences between China and Germany.
