This paper focuses on the comprehensive artistic innovation capability of students in higher education art teaching. Through methods such as questionnaires

interviews

and observations

it explores the concepts

characteristics

evaluation

and cultivation strategies of comprehensive artistic innovation capability. By analyzing the current status and issues of students' comprehensive artistic innovation capability in higher education art teaching

it is found that students generally have relatively low comprehensive artistic innovation capability. The main reasons include the monotonous teaching content

traditional teaching methods

and imperfect teaching evaluation mechanisms. Based on this

the paper proposes recommendations for the cultivation of students’ comprehensive artistic innovation capability in higher education art teaching

including goals

principles

curriculum structure

teaching methods

and evaluation mechanisms. The aim is to provide guidance for the reform and development of higher education art education.
