摘要

Abstract

In recent years

the urbanization rate of Gansu Province has shown continuous improvement. However

regional development disparities remain significant and are highly correlated with economic development levels

with rural-to-urban migration exhibiting a hierarchical mobility pattern. Currently

the predicaments confronting urbanization in Gansu Province mainly include: urbanization lagging behind non-agricultural development; public services failing to match urbanization progress; outdated urban infrastructure with limited investment channels; pronounced regional disparities; low overall urbanization levels; and small urban scale with incomplete functions. This paper argues that Gansu Province should persistently promote non-agricultural development

improve planning implementation mechanisms

advance equalization of urban-rural public services

coordinate infrastructure development

integrate urban-rural spatial planning

optimize urban layout

accelerate priority development of core areas

and foster the growth of distinctive small and medium-sized towns.
