In recent years

significant progress has been made in the study of modern ideological history

especially in the study of the new culture and historiography view. With the deepening research on the history of modern thought

the researcher also begins to study the history of modern thought in the current of history and at the level of world history. This is conclusive to making a breakthrough in theoretical research and method research

and further expanding the perspective of ideological history research. In this work

the authors used the research mode of modern ideological history from the perspective of SaaW (Situation as a Whole) with high recognition and popularity as the research object

then analyzed the meaning of SaaW in the study of modern ideological history

and finally clarified the research requirements

to achieve mastery in the study of modern ideological history.
