摘要

Abstract

Culture and language are inseparable and complimentary. Language is a significant component of culture and is both shaped and impacted by it. Thus

in order to investigate the pragmatic features of the speech act of complimenting in the Gaoling dialect and its culture

this work gathers corpora using a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
