摘要

Abstract

In the context of globalization

intercultural communicative competence (ICC) has become a critical objective in higher education. This paper investigates how engaging Chinese university students in English-mediated storytelling of Chinese governance narratives can effectively enhance their ICC. Focusing on key governance themes such as people-centered development

common prosperity

and ecological civilization

the study argues that using English to articulate these concepts not only contributes to international communication and national image-building

but also provides students with a meaningful opportunity to develop both linguistic proficiency and intercultural awareness.
