摘要

Abstract

With the development of economy and technology

the integration of artificial intelligence and education is increasingly deepening. This study focuses on students majoring in Business English at Guangzhou College of Commerce

using a questionnaire survey method to explore the current status of their English self-directed learning (SDL) under the background of artificial intelligence. Research has found that students have the following problems in self-directed English learning: insufficient goal setting and execution ability

lack of learning focus

difficulty in using AI tools

and excessive dependence on AI tools. The reasons include: students have weaker execution ability after setting goals; lack self-discipline when using AI tools for learning; lack necessary operational skills; heavily rely on AI tools. In response to the above issues

this study proposes corresponding measures: using AI tools to monitor the learning process to enhance focus; offering AI tool operation training courses; guide students to critically understand the auxiliary role of AI tools.
