as well as an examination of representative composers and their works
it delves into the cross-cultural integration of the pentatonic scale

and musical instruments. By highlighting the innovative practices of composers such as John Cage and Philip Glass
the paper reveals the unique contributions of Chinese music to Western musical styles. Additionally
it addresses how Chinese composers have advanced the modernization and globalization of Chinese music by incorporating Western musical elements. This two-way interaction not only fosters innovation in both Chinese and Western music but also opens new possibilities for the diversity of global music culture.
