摘要

Abstract

Nowadays

with the increasing prosperity and development of Chinese cinema and the improvement of women's social status

many female directors have begun to appear in the film industry. This paper reveals the characteristics of women in the works of new female directors represented by Xu Jinglei through a comprehensive review of the female characters in her films. The portrayal of female characters from the unique perspective of female director Xu Jinglei allows for a more detailed objective image of working women. Women's self-identity and the fight for women's voice are both distinct forms of expression of Xu Jinglei's femininity. In this way
