摘要

Abstract

Aristotle in Poetics uses the play Oedipus the King to help construct his edifice of tragedy theory. But Aristotle’s theory has its weakness. This paper argues that this play uses the myth elements to show the sufferance and the sacrifice

as well as the unyielding attitude towards doomed fate.
