摘要

Abstract

This paper analyzes and compares the environmental impact assessment (EIA) process in Western Australia and the Netherlands

an important regulatory tool currently used to assess the environmental

social and economic impacts of development projects. The actual situation of different countries leads to different understandings of the environmental impact assessment process and the formulation of corresponding rules. This paper reviews the environmental assessment process of Western Australia and the Netherlands from several key aspects

analyzes the similarities and differences of their environmental assessment processes

and reveals their institutional advantages and problems in the environmental assessment process. Understanding the differences of EIA in different regions can promote more scientific environmental assessment methods and provide references for regional environmental managers who need to construct environmental impact assessments.
