摘要

Abstract

This report examines representations of the "female situation" during the Northeast Workers' Displacement Wave (mid-1990s to early 2000s)

a period marked by mass layoffs in China's northeastern industrial bases (National Bureau of Statistics

1999). The study analyzes how patriarchal socioeconomic structures

particularly the "gender cost theory

" suppressed women's status and consciousness during this crisis of social order (Li & Wang

2005).Focusing on literary works by two male Northeastern writers

Ban Yu and Shuang Xuetao

this paper investigates their divergent portrayals of "female consciousness" and evaluates the viability of "female salvation" narratives within the context of post-industrial displacement. Through comparative analysis

the study reveals how these authors simultaneously reflect and contest gendered power dynamics in narratives of socioeconomic collapse.
