Abstract

This paper briefly elaborates the connotation of Halliday's Systemic Functional Language and its specific application in English classes

demonstrating that the application of Systemic Functional Grammar in College English classes can help students discover the profound meaning contained in their works

better understand the writers' communicative intentions

and effectively tap students' potential for using language and inspire students' innovation awareness of language expression

ultimately to develop their language proficiency.
