The information age has come in full force

and people have increasingly wide access to information and all kinds of information. The long-term influence of different values and ideologies has caused huge changes in the minds of college students. 2020

the Ministry of Education emphasized that realizing the fundamental task of establishing moral education requires value shaping

knowledge imparting and ability cultivation at the same time

which can not be done without the other. The comprehensive promotion of ideological and political course is to integrate values into classroom knowledge

so that students can form a correct world view

outlook on life and values. College English course is a basic course in colleges and universities

with long teaching time and wide audience

which is an effective way to implicitly educate people. In this paper

we analyzed the necessity and feasibility of ideological and political teaching in college English courses

and finally proposed a specific implementation plan.
