Perimenopause is a special physiological stage for women. Due to the decrease in estrogen levels
osteoporosis is prone to occur. For better prevention and treatment
it is important to study the role of Mediterranean diet on the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis in perimenopausal women. In this paper
we analyze the principles and effects of various nutrients in the Mediterranean diet on bone action by reviewing relevant literature reports
and provide references and suggestions for the prevention of this disease.
