摘要

Abstract

With the proliferation of mobile-assisted learning technologies

mobile-assisted vocabulary learning tools have emerged as a prominent alternative to traditional lexical instruction in university classrooms.In a bid to improve students' willingness and interest in vocabulary learning

this study selected four junior English majors from an university in Northeast China

investigating the impact of Shanbay Word on the vocabulary learning of four junior English majors and giving some necessary suggestions when using mobile-assisted vocabulary learning tools. Statistics of the questionnaire in this study were analyzed by SPSS 16.0.The findings are as follows: Firstly

findings revealed improvements in the participants' vocabularies

which embodies that the application of mobile-assisted vocabulary learning tools exerted a positive role in enlarging students' vocabularies. Secondly

according to the interviews

the mobile-assisted vocabulary learning tool also posed an upward effect on participants' learning behaviors

particularly in enhancing their motivation for vocabulary learning. The study contributes to the broader discourse on Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL) by offering practical insights for its implementation in language education.
